Howdy,  everyone thanks for looking.  I have the Addmotor CITYPRO E-53 and the 250 miles I’ve put on it so far meets everything Addmotor claims it does. The reviews I’ve seen prior to the purchase of this bike also claimed they to were very satisfied.  The bike really allows me to ride much longer than i even knew that i could, gives me freedom.  The mirrors need improvements, but the rack it comes with is durable, as everything on the bike is.  The only standard equipment i’m dissapointed in is  the. “Kick Stand” it ‘s not long enough! The bike leans to far over making it easily fall over. Anyway…………………Best Birthday gift Ever.  Thanks to my wonderful wife !!

I bought this for my brother-in-law and he is very happy with it. He reports good battery life.  He owns multiple conventional bikes. This is his only ebike.

I receive my E-53 in May of 2024 so have had it a little over 1 year. To date I have put on about 2700 miles on the bike. I am 72 and was looking for the following in a bike
1)  Wanted to initiate most of my rides from my house and not have any issues at the end of my ride. I live in the south Denver Metro area and my house lives on the top of a hill. Before purchasing this bike I would load my bike on car and drive to a park to start my rides.
2)  It can be windy here and I would use the wind as an excuse not to ride
3)  Wanted to be able to take longer trips
4)  Didn't want a fat tire bike. Wanted an overall bike that could be used as a commuter but also use on easy to moderate dirt trails.
5) Wanted a bike with a bar so I could use an existing bike rack to transport for out of the area trips.

I would say the bike has met all my expectations except for the ability to use the existing bike rack. What I found is the rear of the bike is much heavier than the front so all the weight rests on 1 bar instead of 2 bars on the bike rack. This wouldn't  change my decision but it would have been nice.

The longest trips I've taken so far has been 50 miles on 1 charge over hilly terrain. This is in a very hilly area and I have had excess battery still available. I intentially ran the battery out over 3 days and got just under 80 miles. I would feel pretty comfortable riding 60 - 65 miles on one charge. I regulary ride the bike 20 - 30 miles with no issues.

As said previously, I did not buy the bike to be a motorcycle, but it does have a have twist throttle. I find this very convenient for starting the bike since I am 5'5" which is shorter than they recommend for this bike. Putting 1 foot on a pedal and giving it a little juice makes it very easy to mount. The throttle is also helpful when riding on trails when there is a sudden change to an uphill situation, give it a little juice and gets the bike going when the cadence controller isn't giving you the power you need.

The bike is a beast, it is quite heavy compared to normal bikes but definitely lighter than other e-bikes. It is well balanced and once you get use to the bike it is not an issue other than if you need to lift it for any reason.  

The gearing of the bike is set so you really can't pedal when riding over 20 miles an hour. This is not a problem except when going down hill if you want to continue pedaling. It might be nice to have an extra gear or two for this. The bike coast very easily and going down hill you  can definitely exceed 20 miles per hour.

I would say that overall I am very happy with the bike. I expect I will get many years of riding on it.

A handsome bike with a few luxurious features, the CITYPRO E-53 is absolutely a recommended bike for urban users. Even the standard pedals and seat are quite nice on the bike, but the suspension and ride feel make it far and above what other companies are offering at this price point.

During group rides I found myself turning off the battery as I was able to get this bike up to 17 miles per hour and above surprisingly easily. However, with the electrical system turned on this bike is an absolute breeze to operate. A regular day could have me going 40 miles a day or more at 16 miles per hour. Quickly I bought a second battery and was able to average 60 miles a day or more.

For further than 60 miles a day at above 16 miles per hour this bike is hard to recommend due to the size of the battery, hauling them around can be a chore, but few ebikes can compete at that range. Either way the battery has always been able to get me beyond 20 miles no matter the weather, as I am a year round rider. I was able to get from Detroit to Wixom with two batteries, which is about a 30 mile trip, a little bit longer due to detours. As long as the infrastructure exists, this bike can get you there.  

Servicing the bike is relatively simple due to the fact that there's so much bike in this ebike. It has a single derailleur, a standard gearing system, standard sized brake pads, and easily findable spokes. Some stores carry these models in the USA, however any competent bike tech that I've met is more than willing to work on the E-53 because it is a very legible machine. While working on the motor or battery might be more complicated, the mechanical side of the bike is very straight forward, and many repairs can be done by the user themselves.

Aesthetically, the bike is awesome. People comment on it all the time asking me where I got it and where they can get their own. Even after adding bar mitts and cargo capacity the bike is as pretty as ever, and I'm happy to make it my own. All in all, a great bike, and a purchase that I'm proud to have made. On sale the value is unbeatable. Standard price, it's one of the best priced bikes on the market. If you're thinking about getting one, do it! Not only is it easier to find parking, but you will find yourself slowly starting to exercise more and more regularly without even thinking about it. Due to that, this bike can be a literal lifesaver. Also, with the throttle, you'll never be too tired to get home.

This isn't a road bike or a true cargo bike, so it's not the fastest or able to take the heaviest loads you can imagine, but it's a totally nimble and capable bike that punches above its weight.
